Even I was optimistic. It looked like actual honest to God, outsiders with principled opposition to the swamp were being put in high places. I’ve never seen anything like it. I can’t imagine a better attempt at swamp draining. But they were almost immediately compromised. Epstein apparently killed himself. Our greatest health epidemic is antisemitism. We need votes so we compromised on government efficiency.
I went from cautiously optimistic to black pilled on the idea of change via political means. luckily, we still have Bitcoin. Still hopeful there.
Swamp draining = destroying a healthy ecosystem which has far reaching negative consequences to local farmers in the area for the sole benefit of the one person who now has some dry land to graze while everyone else suffers
