Nice haul. ๐
How does one even get started with doing this?
More specifically how do I know Iโm not picking poison mushrooms
Beautiful catch๐ Do you like the Greville's boletes ? Too slimy for me
I belive I also collected them, but they were sooo gross and slimed over everything :(
I had trouble peeling the cap and chucked them
Yellow spore side that doesn't color blue on touch is usually distasteful. Wether it's bitter bolete or Greville's (aka yellow ringbolete) or yellow cracked bolete.
No flyagaric? Ha!
I found a spot a few days ago. I did pick one up & its drying. I've more research to do on it before I'm comfortable

Good luck. Let me know what tek you find works. These are still a mystery to me.

Cool...always research. When dried I found them a powerful taste. Almost meat like. Jurkyesque kind of smell. The Siberians been using them for aeons.
