I don't think because there are quite a lot of transactions in the past few blocks.

In the recent blocks that's always the case, but the 44 blocks in the mempool is all this really low fee stuff. and the block size is going up, which indicates ordinals.
Binance done the same thing. They sent all the UTXO consolidations with relatively low fees.
