They are talking it up like it proves your existence or you are real, and that some dating sites are going to use it.

Don't fall for this. Don't get your eyes scanned. You don't even have to do eye scanning at the airport. Opt out of this invasion of privacy that only serves the continued growth of panoptican surveillance. Tell your loved ones, family friends and neighbors to avoid this as well.
