As far as I can tell, and assuming the trial actually starts when it’s supposed to, May of 2024 couldn’t be better for Democrats. By the time the trial starts, the primary will be essentially over and the presumptive GOP nominee will be on trial for numerous felony charges that could result in life in prison. It will be too late to do anything else about it. Even if Trump goes to jail they’ll still vote for him.

I don’t see how you can spin that in any other way.
