it's always mildly infuriating to watch computer programmers misunderstand how PC audio works because they have never looked at a block diagram of the internals of a sound card, nor have they ever used any professional audio software or equipment to give them an idea of what a good audio workflow looks like. audio code is a bit of a specialist subfield and i'm tempted to say it's best left to the experts, because shitty audio software is far too common.
