usually i’m driven by competitive games, but now i’m too tired from work yet feel that guilt of not being the best 🫠
I feel this.
I have a hard time staying motivated to excel at my job when something else I want to learn grabs my attention.
Bitcoin and crypto at large (particularly defi) has been such a struggle vs work. It's like all day I see a huge rabbit hole right next to me and i have to talk myself out of jumping down -- because that will be the whole day. Inbox will fill up and I'm too busy in the rabbit hole reading articles, listening to podcasts, or messing with my server.
Eventually come the consequences. 🤦♂️

yeah, exactly – what’s what i feel as well!
i work in a really small IT company so my job contains of little interesting tasks, so i can explore each one, pick and choose, etc
but you know, sometimes it takes so much energy, you can not focus on simple and mundane things
and thank you for your nice words, i hope you too have both time and enthusiasm for your tasks - who knows maybe your next work project will be btc-related 🥹

(tbh every year or two i find some european language which interests me and learn its basics, but this time i have a personal story)
I'm in Yorkshire so struggle with English, the language of the soft southern types 🤣🤣
Joking aside, I've wanted to learn Russian since I was a young kid but never developed an ear for languages 😢
