You are describing my second "Bitcoin Moment".
That was an awesome moment. I'll never forget seeing the blue button on electrum and thinking, "holy crap, I'm using my very own copy of the ledger".

Just waiting for the shitcoin versions of Nostr clients to pop up where they do request stuff like that and then don’t ever give you access to your nsec 😒

I’m sure it’s coming. Some “big shot” is going to want to make money and the only known way for them is to harvest data and sell it. What better way to do it than to meet people where they are and offer them a login experience they’re used to while hiding all this other stuff the “don’t need”?
