I installed it on a VM and pooled a few external disks together some years ago. Haven't had a single issue beyond learning how to configure things in the UI.

I installed truenas scale on a mini PC with 2 HDD slots. Very impressed so far. I followed a youtube video to install plex and jellyfin. No issues either
