That start of the game in Montreal was beyond electric thanks to the culminating border tension, the budding hockey rivalry, and the Tkachuk brother’s dropping the gloves on puck drop. I thought that tourney would be closer to all-star game fun play but damn was that tournament awesome hard hitting high caliber play. McDavid had that unreal backhand top shelf goal in the 1st game and in the final he could barely move given how tight it was.

Pronger was an absolute animal.

Fwiw I’m not down with the anthem booing. I attended a few leafs games recently and there was booing although you could hear some doing it to just joke around. I sang it. America is not one thing, and there are many fine people, regardless of what is going on.

The real Gretzky enforcer was Semenko back with the Oilers.
