You should take a moment every morning and say, I am blessed. I'm blessed b/c I have children (if you have them), I'm blessed to have a husband/wife (if you do), I'm blessed to have this person in my life, I'm blessed to have my health, or I am blessed that I made it through the night to see another day.
Comparison is the thief of joy! Stress, anxiety, and depression are symptoms that come from dwelling on the past or thinking about the what-ifs in the future.
Stay in the present! Be thankful that you have a "present." Then focus on what you are going through right now and work through whatever you are going through with gratitude.
This makes life simpler and more enjoyable and will bring far better results.
