i often wonder how big a company Ableton is. they're privately owned and basically own music creation.

They're massive but despite their (near) monopoly, they are actually a decent company. I remember years ago, I'd lost access to one of my laptops and after I'd sent them a quick email they allowed me to go over my licence allocation so I could install it on a new device. They could easily have been arsey about it and charged me £££ but they were cool😎.
yes. that is nice. i remember similar things with apple back when i had a tibook in like......god whenever that was 2000 or something. and their service was part of what set them apart... and... yeah.... look what happened there!
