Do charcoal grills produce enough heat for steaks?
Yes. Depends how close to the charcoals you can get the grill but it wonβt be the same as direct contact searing/sealing. However, one can lay a tray/skillet/pan directly on the charcoal.
Yes. My Weber maxes out the thermometer which goes up to 600F
So itβs safe to say my grill gets at least 696 ;)

I used to love selling Weber grills they were the most reliable n longest life span, but they didnβt pay good commission /: so I ended up having to upsell a lot of ppl to something called Napoleon (paid incredible commission) Iβd always tell people I prefer Weber before showing them the Napoleons somehow their grills sold themselves people were gravitating towards their stainless steel cooking grids, and how they could choose between natural gas and propane for certain models as well as the addition of a charcoal tray.
this was the model that paid the most commission, had fucking lights on the knobs and on the sides of the inside, fucking crazy lol (for that time, at least. 7 years ago)

I only BBQ with mesquite wood. Keavi wood is the best but only in Hawaii. Chemical charcoals like Kingsford and gas ruin the taste of everything cooked on it.
