This! -- Tax code for instance is ridiculously bloated. -- To radically improve the situation for greater than 90% of the US population. Consider - vast majority makes less than 100k, very few make 1,000,000 per year. --- If one is making say $40,000 a year they should 'owe' a symbolic $1 'Citizen Tax' to help with paperwork kinda thing. -- If one is making $100,000 just to keep it simple say we take a progressive taxation scheme that hits 7% or so at 100k and say this increase to 10% up to $1,000,000. --- That general idea could fit on a post-it note, would be easy to understand and implement and would cover 90-something percent of the US population. -- And I think it should be structured such that regardless of where the income is from for the most part. -- By taking away the intentional complexity we gain alot more clarity of direction and understanding of where we actually stand re: tax base etc. -- This is of course, precisely WHY these things bloat to several pages...to cover the loopholes and BS for a privileged few.
