First thing I fixed for young sales reps.

Less is much more.

And never respond reply all. Ever.

Gots to single out the strong……….and the weak.

Never apologize in an email.

Anything that starts with “apology for the long note but” is immediately disregarded.

Strong, direct, to the point wins.

"Sorry for the short reply: GFY"

Weak note.

Just GFY 👍🫡🥹👌👌👌🕹️🥄

Always ask for what you want in the first sentence.

If in sales, ask for the order.

You get what you ask for.

No beating around the bush.

I got into the habit of writing a long email just to get to the end; the one thing I actually wanted to say. I'd move that sentence to the top and delete the rest.

100%

This is the way.

Low levels love long pointless emails.

People that can actually get things done & make decisions hate them. More than anything. Then they hate you.

Facts. I was hated by the one guy who wrote the longest emails. In fact, he and I applied for the same position at another company and I got it despite having something like 5 years less experience.

Moral of the story: don't write long emails.

And don’t be an emotional bitch like the other guy.

Bro was such an emotional bitch 😂

I may go back to the software sales mines.

So much weakness out there. Easy pickins right now.

Maybe just go to swing your dick around. For sport.

I only worked to make money. That was literally it. Work brought me no joy.

I tried to be that guy who liked my job. But every time I left a position, I realized that I would never go back.

Last 13 years of my career I could only do startups. Pre-IPO. 3 went public which felt good & made it kind of fun. But a huge grind. No hiding at startups.

I could never do a big company again. That’s death to me.
