I'm sure some of them would be, the fact that no one stepped in still gets me. Literal bystanders.
This is part of why I want local sovereignty. Imagine a town where half the population is in the militia and willing to stand by their friends when they're treated this way. Such events couldn't even happen.
A dream. Such a town wouldn't necessarily need police.
