Yeah “peer to peer electronic cash”, “digital gold”, even “coins” is all misleading. There’s no great analogy IMO. It’s completely new and foreign. It’s immutable data, finessed to work as currency. Somehow proof of work is a direct representation of ENERGY. Like, what?
