Community notes is a fake out. When you think it through you’ll agree why it only “works” in a centralized way and is actually just a marketing gimmick.

Could you explain it? I am not saying it has to be some central authority like a bunch of wiki editors, if I see you make a post and I think its nonsense I could zap to leave a community note, if my note is nonsense I lose that money but if my note is valuable to others, I might get the money back and then some

Community notes are a centrally managed service pretending to be a source of independent verification, yet it’s really not. Every major centralized social has something like that. Read around a bit.

On nostr, if someone posts bs then other might call bs people might zap/like if they ageee etc.

In your example, who do you zap when you call bs? Who decides if you were right? How’s it different from what you can do now?
