Absolutely, I would at the same time argue that a lot of people aren’t smart enough to be having kids let alone schooling them.

I thought a few of the kids were weird when I was younger, but even then I knew it was probably their parents choice and not theirs so I never judged the kid.

I just never could think of a benefit to homeschooling other than spending more time with family.

Now I see the education system for the shit pile it is, and I don’t know how comfortable I’m going to be when I have a kid and send him off to school.

I know I could mold that mind better and teach him just as well as any teacher that’s done nothing but sit in a classroom their whole life and hate their job.

I’m 23 and single tho so I got a while til that’s on my plate.

I definitely have a preference for homeschooling currently too, it seems like we went down a similar mental evolution over time

I’m excited for a day when there are better competing private options which can bridge the gap between parents doing it themselves and the states doing it
