Algorithm thrives on controversial traffic, which creates a downward spiral.

No algorithms and actual monetary gain from quality content and signal kills the need to create unhelpful and toxic noise

More engagement for enraging content. More discussion, mean commentary = more engagement = algo shows it to more people = even more engagement. Algo spiral of hate.

On Nostr theres no algo. People value interesting/helpful/positive content and zap it. No need to be negative in order to feed an algo. Providing this kind of valuable content is more rewarding. Incentives are much better on Nostr.

Twitter wants users’ attention because that attention provides value to them, to advertisers, etc. Divisive things attract attention. On Nostr users are providing value directly to each other and the medium of doing so (clients and relays) is merely a conduit for that activity to occur without trying to serve 3rd party masters with data.

Maybe because Nostr still reassembles a community of people sharing similar interests and/or values, whereas Twitter rather reflects the dark side of human societies and natures…?

Because #Bitcoin as the layer of Value represents an abstract way to share love and deeper energy exchange for the first time in a digital form
