A rare and potentially historic discovery has been made at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York. A previously unknown waltz, believed to be written by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, has been unearthed after nearly 200 years. The manuscript, dated between 1830 and 1835, was discovered by curator Robinson McClellan while cataloging new collections. While the piece is not signed by Chopin, experts have authenticated it based on handwriting and stylistic elements.
