I wonder if a feature where I could zap people to read my post would be a good idea. I would be paying the viewer directly rather than Facebook or Twitter to promote it. #askNostr

The problem I think with this would be
- how do you find out exactly who has read your post & how to notifiy you of that ? With reactions maybe? (And those are also approximate -- if someone is reading your post & reacting to it from a relay that you don't read from, you'll not find out)
- bots - how to prevent zapping bots?
The other way round (zap first with a link to post or just a promotional message) has been tried - it's called zapvertising

You can already sort of do that. Zap them and add a message with a url of what you want them to read. The message will pop ip in their wallet and they can just click the link. There is limit on the message size but should be ok for short urls.

I think you kind of can do it like this:
- Publish your post.
- Add call to action like "please quote my post after read. So I can zap you."
- See who quotes. Go zap them.
This should also helps spread your post to wider audiences.

Would be better comment on your post then boost.
The comment must have a reasonable length related the the post content this proves the post was read because just click in boost everyone's can.
That way your post is not only boosted but also has a lot of comments making it hot
