Sorry, just seeing this browsing Global.

I've made efforts to run LND routing nodes a couple times now and just gave up. The liquidity eventually becomes drained to one side - invariably - and is nigh-impossible to resolve the other way at times, so, I just don't want to play that game any more.

I suspect your troublesome channel may need a force close operation.

the liquidity game creates fees for the owner of lightning.

it is frustrating for the lightning operator. i understand why you gave up.

thank you for your link. it is a good one. jim from umbrel sent me the same command yesterday,

before i can do that i need to install umbrel again. after the bitcoin blockchain has fully downloaded which takes a full week(600gb now) i can start the umbrel lightning node by inserting my seed. then it will ask the question if you have open channels, yes or no. my channel showed as shutting down. does that mean it is open or closed?

It's probably in a "stuck" shutting down state that can unfortunately happen from time-to-time for

By broadcasting a force-close for the channel-point to the network, you will ensure the timeout countdown is properly started.

To technically answer your question, I believe the channel is in a closed state to the rest of the network, but not to you, for

excellent advice. crappy system
