I’d tweak this slightly. I think most Bitcoiners tend to be “truth seekers.” It’s also why we’re into all other kinds of weird subjects
We are truth seekers! I use that line a lot!
And open minded to consider there are other ways other than accepting systems clearly not working
I think this is why a lot of people miss Bitcoin. To believe in Bitcoin requires an explicit recognition that the current monetary and political system is broken. And the fact is, the current system has benefited a lot of people. A new system scares them.
Not to mention it really is complicated.
You know why on top of getting Bitcoin earlier than most we also got Monero earlier?
Because we are seeking freedom and privacy to defend it.
The early narrative around Bitcoin in 2009 centered upon in-game micropayments, not financial sovereignty, not personal freedom, not sound money, and not a counter to fiat currency. Maybe if the focus had been on those use cases, I would have taken time to learn about Bitcoin many years earlier.
I got bitcoin back in 2009, then we all moved to Monero.
You ain't free when everyone can track your moves.
The hard part right now is seeing it n the horizon but not being there yet.
