Using Nostr apps today feels a lot like using Netscape in the early days of the web. Back then, everything was new and kind of rough around the edges. But everything was exciting, because you could finally build and create without needing anyone’s permission.

Nostr has that same vibe now. It’s not a polished product, it’s an open, living protocol with a plethora of applications being built without permission.

Just like the web grew from simple static pages into the juggernaut it is today, Nostr is laying the groundwork for a decentralized social internet that anyone can jump in and help shape.

Keep building.

Wired magazine used to be as thick as a phone book, filled with fullpage ads for Pets.com, AskJeeves, and came with 2 bonus cdroms with an AoL trial membership. If you understand dial-up, you understand 2025 and the adoption hockey stick.

I remember buying those magazines in the 90s.
