At what stack size would you recommend multi-sig vs single-sig+passphrase?

Unless you have a reason for multi sig I think single sig with a passphrase is a very good setup. Adding more complexity just because is a slippery slope to foot guns

SS + Passphrase is 2of2 multisig (very bad). It's also a foot gun.

Very true, but if someone wanted to add more security to their setup imo a passphrase would be the simpler choice

It's a tradeoff off, passphrases reduce redundancy. A 2of3 multi-sig scheme improves redundancy and security.

For contrast storing two copies of your seed improves redundancy at the cost of security.
