Have there been quality scaling conversations on how nostr could grow to billions of users? I assume relays are the bottleneck, but I'm not really sure.

Having something like a-relay-per-client, like Damus does, would definitely help but there needs to be more propagation between client relays

Forgot to say that the real issue will be media (images and videos). For that we would need CDNs or a Blossom-server-per-client 😅 and lots of mirroring
