Does big tech have a monopoly on cheap fast language translation services? 🤔 seems ripe for disruption
#Amethyst v0.79.12: Fold and tablet layouts
This version adds early support for tablet and fold layouts to, and only to, the Messages tab. Feel free to request better layout options for your own tablet/fold phone. Nothing is set in stone. The goal is to increase the productivity of the interface on bigger screens. 🚀
On bigger screens, it should look similar to this image below.

- Adds a two-pane display for chats when the screen size supports them.
- Fixes orientation changes when in full-screen
- Updates Jsoup

Discussion
We don't use services. All translations run in the device for maximum privacy. But the model is indeed from Big tech.
That's cool. But why isn't it available in FDroid then?
pretty sure anyone who can run an LLM and has access to a big database of side by side translations can make their own pretty quick and easy now.
