🇺🇲 Kennedy: “I would like the federal government to start buying Bitcoin”

🗣️ Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. proposed that the US government buy Bitcoin up to equal the value of the country's gold reserves.

Currently, the United States would have to acquire 9.4 million BTC to equal the USD 615 billion it has in gold. That would be almost 45% of the total BTC supply.

🏦 Kennedy also proposed backing Treasuries with “hard currencies,” including BTC, and eliminating capital gains taxes on Bitcoin.

🤝🏻 “If we want to save our democracy, we need to decentralize. Bitcoin is honest because it has no one in charge," Kennedy concluded.
