Authority and Influence

Authority has long been a tool used to influence — and often control — behavior. Governments, central banks, and legacy financial institutions leverage their perceived authority to dictate monetary policy, enforce regulations, and shape economic narratives. This authority is rarely questioned, yet it profoundly affects how people earn, save, and transact.

Bitcoin challenges that paradigm. It operates outside the boundaries of traditional authority — decentralized, transparent, and governed by code, not decree. For Bitcoiners, real authority doesn’t come from a title or institution; it comes from proof of work, consensus, and verifiable truth. In this view, the best way to influence behavior is not through coercion or control, but through open systems that empower individual choice and personal responsibility.

Bitcoin doesn't ask for trust — it earns it. And that’s the kind of authority worth listening to.
