What's the benefit? I don't need real time events and always close the subscription after an EOSE but websocket still seems nicer bc you don't have to wait to get a big chunk of data.

People are just more used to http reqs than websocket.

Well. It's sometime easier to code than with WS. WS is almost like reinventing http library in the code if i would say.

It's sometime about caching, compression (as deflate compression still sucks in websocket), and stuff.
