Agree. Just a note, Amethyst on Android does support delete. I use it often for test Notes I publish from the apps I work on.
To an extent, I like the fact that deletion is more difficult. There are trade-offs for sure, but the big thing is, knowing that it's more difficult, I'm definitely much more mindful and thoughtful about what I say and the information that I share.
The other thing is, even if you do the thought experiment where a deletion event truly removed any record of the post in every way, it is still something that happened. In a similar way, verbally saying something rude to a friend or coworker can't be taken back, even though the sound vibrations from your mouth have long since passed.
I dunno, just some random thoughts.
