Honolulu is the capital and largest city in the U.S. state of Hawaii. Located along the southeastern coast of Oahu Island, it is the most remote city of its size in the world. The Honolulu Volcanic Series is partially located inside the city, and Diamond Head — a prominent volcanic cone — is visible along the coast on the left side of this Overview.
