No, most of the money they have raised is in in-game purchases. They have thousands and thousands of players playing it all the time. People have dedicated their lives to it for years.

They've just launched a ship that requires at least 30 players to fly it, it costs $15,000.

if only DayZ kept up with its potential and became even better but it fizzled out.
