That's one of the joys these days! When I was a kid you had to worry about burning film (and money). I wish we had digital SLRs like we do now. I'd have tried a lot more creative shots. All that to say just take the shot, adjust the shutter take it again, adjust it another 'notch' and another, the reset and adjust the aperture and shoot again, adjust it another notch etcetc You can 'find' a lot of good shots, and since the photos retain the shutter and aperture info, you can learn fairly quickly what works best in what situations!
All that said, you got a beautiful picture just the same!
