Why should it? In the contrary, I quiet like that many phones can take a picture without even unlocking the phone.

i'm talking about actual cameras (DSLRs, mirrorless, etc), not phones with cameras.. ..cameras should have the option for a password to use the device and to protect the images

Ah I missread. So you mean that a opt-in feature is available? I first understood you vote for it being standard (opt-out). Now I understand. So to have a protection for the stored pictures.

Could be a good feature for sure.
