If I wanted to start a small-scale mining operation (less than 30kW peak power), should I focus on Bitcoin or another blockchain like for example Kaspa and swap for Bitcoin later?

I would def stick with Bitcoin. The problem with altcoin mining is that the value drops extremely quickly when retail is able to get their hands on machines (which, I know Kaspa has been around for a bit) and those markets from an ROI perspective are far mor volatile than Bitcoin imo.
