Remember my crashed phone? Is only until now that I got able to buy the screen replacement, it cost 200$ and my dad gave me 100$ as Birthday gift so I only had to pay 73$ for it...

Now I have to wait until the screen arrives in Venezuela, I should have the phone working again in about 20 days!! That will help a lot to make better everyday content

When Venezuela went communist, what necessary items for survival became difficult to obtain?

Did the party spend much time searching for resistance members who choose to live off the grid?

What items would you include in a airboat cache or survival get back home / bug out bag.

People who have gone through it are the best to talk to about such things.

My experiences are from Rhodesia 1979. That was watching from a military perspective. Gathered a lot from Selco, read a lot of his work.

Ever place is different. Hungry for information.

Some lessons are only learned once.

During Venezuela's economic crisis basic necessities like:

Food (staples like rice, cooking oil, flour)

Medicine

Hygiene products

Household goods

became difficult to find due to shortages and inflation.

While some political opponents faced persecution, a wider search for those living off the grid wasn't a primary focus unless they were seen as a major threat. The government had its hands full with other issues.

I also believe that those going to ground, living off the grid will not be sought after unless a threat, or caught in a net with those who are.

Medicine for those who must have it can be a life threatening situation. Hygiene almost as big a deal.

I think a big problem will be a long term situation when clothing and shoes become difficult to replace.

Was other citizenry a problem, theft, murder, other violent crime? Was it better to stay lone wold or band together?

In the US in rural area of Louisiana we have much latitude owning firearms and ammunition.

I carry a firearm 24/7 everyday. I think we will be less effected here than in any town or city. Hunting and foraging for food and medicinal plants is an option. Our small community would mostly band together to protect it from scavengers and small bands of criminals.

The big cities and even small towns would have a rough time.
