well, there's a little part in the middle of it, unmanned underwater vehicles, these were unleashed on russian boats in the black sea, and i'd say that russia is racing to get those in place to deny access to the gulf of america and the american canal. america has to move to land based control so expect a lot of democracy heading south in the coming few years.

UUVs end the supreme advantage of a strong navy. they make sea navigation, and infrastructure, very expensive to maintain.
