Any partition format suggestions for DAS SPAN HDD Array mounted on macOS? it'll be mounted to mac mini and running like a NAS drive over my network.

I've been using macOS extended (journaled) (bcz less IO to mechanical drive) for external HDDs, but wanted to get some feedback.
