My wife could onboard a thousand vaccine (and other chemical) skeptical wives to nostr tomorrow if we built an alternative to Facebook groups

These women literally have to talk in code on a group called “non-toxic moms” to find baby formula, diapers and wipes that aren’t filled with poison

Have you looked at OxChat?

The chat based ones don’t appeal for a lot of people. Need posts and comments.

Or Ditto and Coracle I believe are trying to do a Nostr client for groups

Until there’s an app in the Apple App Store these projects are purely hypothetical to users like these women

Yeah it’s fair. I do often think it’s weird so much of Nostr seems likes it’s optimizing for desktop, when 99% of social media happens on mobile.

That's pretry much how I understood the Coracle's vision. We need many more buildings this.

I'm mostly looking for private (community-only) fb marketplace.

There are so many killer niche groups in the world, we could recruit them all with the right tools

What about Satellite.earth communities (or anything NIP72)

https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/72.md

Is there an app they can download and on board without any technical know-how?

Satellite, Coracle, NoStrudle, and Habla are the only clients I am aware of that have implemented this NIP.

Satellite is my favorite because anyone who uses Reddit will be right at home (see example).

None of them have apps sadly. They could use the PWA as an “app” on their Home Screen but onboarding isn’t easy.

More building is needed for user-friendly solutions.

I install PWA's on my wife's phone. She doesn't need to know they're from my computer, not the app store.

I could do that for my wife but not the thousand other wives in the group

Totally understandable

These are good ladies but let’s just say they’re the type to turn the heat to max in the car to stop the air from blowing in their faces

We have such a low standard for UI/UX as early adopters, Satellite as-is would unfortunately not work for these ladies

Chachi.chat

My wife is in the same group I think it's called "non-toxic mommies"

Yes 🎯 these ladies need uncensored comms
