It still a couple of months with shorter and shorter days here in Norway. Its kind of wierd seeing the sunset on my way home from work, but i love dramatic shifts in seasons here.

Part of my childhood was spent in Alaska, where dramatic seasonal changes and endless sunsets inspired my soul. I miss that now that I live in Pennsylvania (though my new home has its advantages). Maybe my Norwegian ancestry played a part in that inspiration.
Interesting to hear Kevin. I sometimes wonder how it would be to live closer to equator, I suspect I might find it boring. But still it get more and more tempting to try as I get older.
I understand the temptation. Would it still be boring if you only spent part of the year closer to the equator?
As I get older, I must say I wouldn't mind spending three quarters of the year in a brisk northern place -- and spending that remaining coldest quarter in some non-crowded, highly civilized place where palm trees grow. Or, alternatively, a brisk southern-hemisphere place where the seasons are inverted from ours. Realistically, though, I will be making footprints in the snow in two months.
Yhea I have been thinking about something like that as a first step. Nov Dec Jan and maybe down south. I guess that could be a good compromise. I love the later parts of the winters here but not the early winter storms and short days. Since I live in the mountain I got snow and a closed road to my cabin from Mid November to Mid June hahaha. Its a little bit extreme.. Got 5km on skies to the car half the year. But as I said I kind of love it to. 😅
