⚡️🗣️ NEW: Gary Gensler, the current chairman of the SEC, maintains that crypto is "infested with bad actors".

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Gensler said he divides the industry into two, one being bitcoin and the other "everything else".

"I've worked in the financial sector for more than four decades, and everything in the markets trades at any given time on a mix of fundamentals and sentiment. But I've never seen a sector that is so tied to sentiment and not so tied to fundamentals."

The outgoing SEC chairman is therefore defending his position on #crypto less than two weeks before he leaves the agency.
