I will never understand managers that don’t invest their time into training their team. I will also never understand a manager who gets angry with someone who makes a mistake. We are all human so we all make mistakes.

Mistakes should be seen as learning/training opportunities. Working gently through a mistake with someone empowers them for the future.

If you yell at people they are more likely to hide their mistake rather than own it and want to correct it.

Constructive compassionate criticism wins the day 💜

My supervisor is far too agreeable to yell or be overtly angry. She does have a bit of a high time preference though. At the same time she is compassionate and tries to understand, but like, assumes and is a slave to her own emotions rather than taking the time to really understand what's going on, like most normies. She's a compassionate normie. One of those people who believes altruism solves everything. I appreciate how much she cares but I hate it when she's nice to me. I don't need niceness, self sacrifice for perceptions of what she thinks I want. I need feedback and thoughtful guidance without assumption.

Have you asked for feedback or help?

Yes. I'm getting some. It's a work in progress.
