yes.
if you connect your node to the Alby account then the money is debited from the node.
(technically speaking this is default NWC: a send request with an invoice is sent to your hub which then processes it based on the app connection permissions)
Ok, have decided not to use it after all, I think it's really neat but don't really have a use for it at this time. Fun testing though!

may I ask what you'll use for zapping?
I am going to use my Primal wallet I think, just like it.
I'm going to keep using it for at least a month then decide then, really cool so far.
