So it looks like ticktok is probably getting banned in like 6 to seven months. The whole US government kinda agrees on this one.

They are unlikely to allow their algorithm to be sold to an American company. Because it's clearly designed to turn Americans men into gay cyber kittens. And they don't want people knowing that.

Which means the app will just be out right banned .

What stock should I buy in anticipation of this?

But tbh, good question. Someone might ressurect vine. Or probably more likely twitter will expand to more video

Twitter is still private. Can't invest . While I like what musk is doing I'm uncertain it would ever be profitable again without the help of the censorship industrial complex anyways.

But maybe.

Ah yeah, I wasn't so much thinking about the investment thing. It just feels inevitable that twitter will move further into video, and they might bring back reels too or whatever they called them

Vine.

I hope so. Instagram really needs competition. I hate that I have to have a Facebook now to buy and sell used things in my community.

Facebook marketplace is the last useful thing Facebook holds. Return to gumtree/Craigslist lol

Craigslist is a ghost town now. Nothing but used car salesmen and braiding hair ghetto queens.

Yeah it never really picked up in the UK, we already had gumtree, which is definitely quieter than FB marketplace. However it is often also worth a look in my experience. Not sure gumtree is really a thing outside UK and Australia tho

If you’re looking at US-traded securities, there is a “social media” ETF that is issued by Global X Funds which trades under ticker SOCL. You can see the underlying holdings on their site to get idea of other companies that may benefit. Or invest in that ETF for exposure to that sector.

Their expense ratio is 65 bps so keep that in mind.

Not investment advice. DYOR.

Most likely Facebook with Instagram reelsor Google with YT shorts. If Rumble starts to offer short form content it may be the nextbigthing™

Something unrelated to tech like power plant operating companies since tech is still ridiculously overvalued and prime for a collapse in the next imminent recession and stock market crash?
