Most of my American clients looking for a 2nd citizenship want a lifestyle with:

- 2 or 3 citizenships

- 2 homes, at least one of which is in the U.S.

They want to keep their U.S base and spend significant time in the U.S. (at least 4 months/year).

They just want to add a 2nd citizenship, and possibly a home, of a country they like and that can serve as a #PlanB if necessary.

This is the new mobility play of the upper-middle class remote working Americans.

Renouncing U.S. citizenship is far from the minds of most of them.
