Its because the evangelical churches are bland. There's no real differences between them, and they don't know what their denomination means or is supposed to stand for. It's all just a bland mass (unintended but decent pun) of evangelical, all saying the same things, playing the same songs, the same formula of pastor making a performance and then disappearing. Try this, please, anyone - go to a Methodist church, then a Baptist church, then a Pentecostal church, and try telling me what actual differences you find. All the same. All doing the same failing stuff. I'm not even catholic. I just know a problem when I see one.
