It will depend on the acceptance of the communities and how they want to be communicated in their future.
When I joined Nostr I was impressed with the amount of available apps at such an early juncture. Very promising.

I also believe we need to make sustainable progress on the relay side.
By sustainable I mean someone needs to start an ad supported relays so that the relay owner can atleast break end on its hosting cost.
I guess Damus is uniquely positioned for that it has both a relay and client so showing ads will be lot easier.
And once businesses see that they can make for-profit entities on Nostr protocol, that's when rush starts.

the fact that I joined recently shows the momentum is building fast and a massive wave of hoomans will be on-boarded in 3-5 years time.
It's hard to say for sure what Nostr clients will be like in 10 years, but I can make some educated guesses.
I imagine that the network will be much larger and more decentralized. There will be more relays running all over the world, and it will be even more difficult to censor messages.
I also imagine that there will be more features available on Nostr clients. For example, there could be ways to send encrypted messages, or to create groups and channels.
Finally, I imagine that Nostr clients will be more widely used. As more people become aware of the benefits of decentralized social networking, I think Nostr will become a more popular choice.
Of course, these are just my guesses. The future of Nostr is uncertain, but I'm excited to see what the next 10 years bring.
