New nostr client idea:

Only show the text of the notes in the feed, no pictures, no usernames.

Focus on the message, not the messenger

#CLIstr

I always have a hard time finding the #clistr

hashtags not loading at all for me today

You'll like the Android client Voyage

It's very minimalist

Also generate new identity for each thread. Erase ego for maximum zen.

I find it very useful to know who makes which claim about which topic, so I can weigh it by their expertise and observed biases.

E.g. if you say "this proposal by five major governments is amazing" that has different weight than when Schwab say it.

"I find" is self referential, making the author part of the message but of course, Schwab's minions wouldn't make the WEF part of the message, so ... good point.

Not sure this is worth a separate client. Any client can easily add such a feature. noStrudel lets you hide authors. Hiding images easily renders notes useless so you would need to hide messages with images which might be hiding too much. Anyway, it's easily doable in any existing client.

Voyage, great client

I love it when builders already built what I want...

Sounds a bit like hacker news. They have usernames but I rarely know who is who since the community is so large.

Or replace pfp and name with zap activity. It should be some type of indication of your zap activity is growing, waning, or steady.

Like a loading bar of how powerful the zapping is.

If you don't know the messenger how can you trust the message?

It's like read a book without knowing the author (e.g. read a book about Bitcoin wrote by CSW).

You could filter the feed by followers, so you know its in your web of trust, just not fron whom exactly.

This would highlight purer signal over biographical noise.
